Pata De Perro Producciones & Eastside Luv
presents ENGLISH as a SECOND LANGUAGE
featuring the amazing bellas de Trio Ellas as they release their second album.

English as a Second Language is a concept by East Los Angeles native, Guillermo Uribe, that allows for the expression of our POCH@/CHICAN@ existence thru MusicA -y- Dancing. Ironically for some of us Español has become our second language. There are so many variations of the POCH@... some more connected to their AmericanO side & others more to their MexicanO side... and everything in between... AND sometimes both of those sides come out beautifully en la same cancion or baile. ¡Aver que onda!

As we all know they were nominated for a Latin Grammy on their very 1st debut album & we are predicting they will be nominated for a Grammy on this one as well. Save the date & purchase your tickets very soon before they are all gone.

Joining us this evening are two outstanding bands as well to help us celebrate.

From the other Eastside (NYC) the Villalobos Brothers... Masterfully blending the indigenous rhythms and melodies of their native Veracruz, Mexico, with the intricate harmonies of jazz and classical music, the Villalobos Brothers deliver an intoxicating brew of musical brilliance, cadence and virtuosity that awakens the senses as it redefines the notions behind Latin music.
Their signature style of fiddling has taken them to perform at Carnegie Hall, the United Nations and the New York Mets' Shea Stadium, as well as the Latin Grammy's, Rockefeller Center and Broadway's New Victory Theater, where their music was described as "High Octane Mexican Fiddling". In 2011 they appeared at both the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
"Aliens of Extraordinary Ability...is the latest CD from these young brothers who grew up in Veracruz, Mexico, and now live in New York…a crazy ball of sound: Mexican coastal traditions meet Sam Cooke in the Bronx!"
Dan Zanes, Grammy Award Winner, USA TODAY.
"The Villalobos Brothers have established themselves into the international music scene with concerts in the context of the extraordinary..."
    Jorge Pacheco, EL HERALDO.
"They played with exuberant intensity for the appreciative audience...with their heads bowed...fingers jumping and feet tapping, they weren't just playing music, they were living it..."
    Devan Sipher, THE FORWARD.

The homegrown band to open the night es The Blue Agave... the brain child of renowned studio guitarist Andy Abad, The Blue Agave delivers sexy, soulful atmospheric originals blending surf, spaghetti western and flamenco who's band members also include Trio Ellas very own Stephanie Amaro-Abad, Dante Pascuzzo, Pete Korpela, & Craig MacIntyr.

There are also going to be some special guests to be announced soon so keep checking in here & help us spread the word!

If that wasn't enough... we are also collaborating a dance element with the pros from The Open Floor Society
